Toyota’s new Production Engineering and Manufacturing Center in Georgetown, Ky., features many collaboration spaces for team members to meet, problem solve and get creative. In fact, about half of the 235,000 square foot building is collaboration spaces, while the other half is desk spaces.

Toyota’s new $80-million, state-of-the-art Production Engineering and Manufacturing Center in Georgetown, Ky., features many environmentally friendly efforts and sustainability programs including solar panels, skylights, a rainwater harvesting system, and a geothermal HVAC system. The building is the manufacturing nucleus for Toyota’s 14 North American plants, housing about half of the automaker’s engineers.

Toyota’s Production Engineering and Manufacturing Center in Georgetown, Ky., features about half desk space and half collaboration space. All desks are sit-to-stand and engineers are encouraged to get up and move to other spaces to meet with other teams, brainstorm and problem-solve.
