NEW YORK (November 15, 2019) — INTERSECT BY LEXUS announces that O Pedro, the Mumbai-based restaurant that celebrates Goan cuisine, will lead the next rotation of the Restaurant-in-Residence program beginning in February 2020. Known for reviving forgotten Goan culinary traditions, Executive Chef Hussain Shahzad will share his creative techniques and flavors with New York City for the first time.

O Pedro is one of India’s most celebrated restaurants, offering a fusion menu of both Portuguese and Goan influence designed to bring the Goan way of life closer to Mumbai. The menu sidesteps Goa’s touristy flavors to evoke a rich, complex culinary history while retaining all the comfort and elegance of Goan food, with an edge that comes from culinary, contemporary innovation.

The Restaurant-in-Residence program at INTERSECT introduces a new dining concept every four to six months, bringing innovative culinary talent from around the world to New York City. Each restaurant is selected in collaboration with Danny Meyer’s acclaimed Union Square Hospitality Group and directly reflects its commitment to hospitality and dining. Following the success of Chef Gregory Marchand of the Frenchie restaurants in Paris and London, Chef Sergio Barroso of Restaurante 040 from Santiago and Chef Tomás Kalika of Mishiguene in Buenos Aires, the O Pedro residency at INTERSECT is expected to take diners on a gastronomic journey.

INTERSECT BY LEXUS – NYC is located at 412 West 14th Street New York, NY 10014. The restaurant serves lunch Wednesday-Sunday from 12PM-2:30PM and dinner daily from 5PM-11PM.
