PLANO, Texas (Sept. 15, 2026) – For 2027, the Lexus IS continues to deliver the athletic performance, premium craftsmanship and bold design that define the sport sedan, while adding a fresh new look with a new Special Appearance Package. Based on the IS 350 F SPORT, the package introduces exclusive design elements inside and out, including the striking new Envious green exterior color and distinctive interior accents.

The IS is offered exclusively as the IS 350 in two grades, F SPORT Design and F SPORT, and comes equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 311 horsepower, a sport-tuned chassis, and a comprehensive suite of standard safety and convenience features.

The 2027 Lexus IS is expected to arrive at Lexus dealerships later this year with a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $47,545.

Special Appearance Package
New for 2027 is the Lexus IS Special Appearance Package. Built off the IS 350 F SPORT, the package introduces a striking green exterior color called Envious and 19-inch black BBS forged alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin features black NuLuxe-trimmed seats with Ultrasuede inserts, accented by green stitching and satin chrome-colored trim.

Built to Perform
Powered by a 311-horsepower V6 engine, the Lexus IS delivers the confident, engaging performance that has become a hallmark of the nameplate. A sport-tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension continuously adjusts damping force to help balance everyday ride comfort with sharp, responsive handling. Drive Mode Select allows drivers to tailor the vehicle’s character to suit a variety of conditions, adjusting throttle response, steering feel and transmission behavior from smooth daily driving in Normal mode to a more dynamic, connected experience in Sport S+ mode.

On rear-wheel-drive models equipped with the standard eight-speed automatic transmission, a Torsen^® limited-slip rear differential helps enhance traction and cornering stability by distributing power more effectively between the rear wheels. Together, these performance-focused elements reinforce the IS as a sport sedan engineered to reward spirited driving while maintaining the refinement and comfort expected of a Lexus.

Exterior Features
The Lexus IS projects a bold, athletic presence with a low, planted stance and a design that emphasizes both agility and refinement. Its sleek silhouette, sculpted body lines and wide stance convey an athletic presence, while signature Lexus design cues give the IS a confident, unmistakable identity. From its expressive front fascia to its clean, dynamic profile, the IS is designed to balance sport sedan performance with premium sophistication, creating an exterior that feels both purposeful and polished.

For 2027, F SPORT Design models have a new 19-in black and machine-finished wheel.  Additionally, the IS offers a range of exterior color options that allow the guest to select what best reflects their style. Exclusive to the IS Special Appearance Package, a striking new green exterior color called Envious brings an added layer of distinction to the lineup. Depending on the grade, available color options also include Ultra White, Cloudburst Gray, Iridium, Caviar, Infrared, Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0, and Wind.

In-Cabin Ornamentation
The interior is thoughtfully crafted with a focus on functionality, an essential quality in the cockpit of a compact FR sport sedan, creating an environment that keeps the driver fully engaged with the road. Lexus Interface has a standard 12.3-inch screen, offering excellent visibility and intuitive operation while aligning with the driver’s natural line of sight. The TFT (thin-film transistor) LCD (liquid crystal display) digital instrument cluster in front of the driver is also 12.3 inches, delivering clear and easy-to-read graphics that communicate information directly and intuitively.

The interior design includes “Forged Bamboo” ornamentation on the center console and start switch bezel. The natural bamboo fibers create a distinctive “In-ei” shading effect that captures the IS’s dynamic energy and enhances the sporty feel of the cabin. Moreover, for 27MY, F SPORT Design models now come standard with a heated steering wheel.

Every 2027 IS model comes equipped with the Lexus Premium Sound system, featuring a standard 10-speaker configuration. In addition, a 17-speaker Mark Levinson® system is available as a factory option. Designed to deliver an immersive and emotionally rich listening experience, the system features delicately tuned audio and optimally positioned speakers throughout the cabin.

There are two high-output USB (Type-C) ports in the front of the center console for added convenience. Additionally, there are two USB (Type-C) charging ports located at the rear of the center console, enhancing convenience for rear-seat passengers. The wireless charging area at the front of the center console is strategically placed for optimal ease of use and accessibility. The system uses Gen5 (Qi standard), designed to accommodate a wide range of smartphone sizes for seamless wireless charging.

The 2027 Lexus IS, depending on grade, is offered in four interior color options: Black, Palomino, Radiant Red, and White/Black.

The 2027 Lexus IS comes standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which brings a suite of key active safety and convenience features to the vehicle. This system includes:

Automatic High Beams
Automatic High Beams are designed to automatically toggle between high and low beams based on the vehicle’s surroundings.

Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection
Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection is designed to help detect a vehicle, pedestrian, bicyclist or motorcyclist and provide an audio/visual forward collision warning and brake assist under certain circumstances. If the driver does not react to the warning, the system is designed to provide automatic emergency braking. PCS uses a camera and millimeter-wave radar for enhanced performance and reliability.

Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC)
Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control can help maintain a preset distance from the vehicle ahead of you, under certain conditions.

Lane Tracing Assist (LTA)
Lane Tracing Assist is designed to read visible lane markers and detect other vehicles under certain conditions. When Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) is enabled and lane markers are detected, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) uses the lines on the road and/or preceding vehicles and may provide active driving assistance and help keep the vehicle centered in its lane.

Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) – When white/yellow lane markings or certain road edge boundary lines are detected at speeds above 30 mph, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) is designed to issue an audio/visual lane departure alert if an inadvertent lane departure is detected. If the driver does not take corrective action, the system is also designed to provide a slight steering force for lane keeping assistance.

Road Sign Assist (RSA) – Using an intelligent camera, Road Sign Assist (RSA) is designed to detect speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs, yield signs and certain warning signs, and display an icon of the sign on the Multi-Information Display (MID).

Proactive Driving Assist (PDA) – When system operating conditions are met, using the vehicle’s camera and radar, Proactive Driving Assist (PDA) can provide gentle braking into curves or gentle braking and/or steering to help support driving tasks such as distance control between the vehicle and a preceding vehicle, pedestrian or bicyclist.
