PLANO, Texas (Oct. 26, 2026) – The 2027 Lexus RZ brings a bold energy to the Lexus lineup, combining all-electric performance with elevated style and excellent craftsmanship that has become synonymous with the brand. Sleek, modern and confidently designed, the RZ is crafted for drivers who want more from every moment behind the wheel. It delivers excitement, innovation and quiet confidence, seamlessly blending luxury and technology, dynamic performance and progressive design.

The 2027 Lexus RZ offers a choice for every kind of driver, with three distinct powertrains that bring different expressions of all-electric performance to the lineup. From the well-balanced RZ 350e FWD, to the confident capability of the RZ 450e AWD, to the exhilarating power of the RZ 550e F SPORT AWD, the RZ family gives guests the freedom to choose the all-electric luxury SUV that best fits their lifestyle and driving preferences.

The RZ is also available in three different grades: Premium, Luxury and F SPORT, allowing guests to select the combination of features, design, and performance character that suits them best. Exterior color options include Oxygen White, Cloudburst Gray, Iridium, Caviar, Copper Crest and Ether. The RZ 550e F SPORT AWD adds Wind and two-tone options with Copper Crest, Cloudburst Gray, Wind and Iridium.

The RZ is assembled at the Motomachi plant in Japan. It is expected to arrive at Lexus dealerships early next year with a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $47,495.

RZ BEV System
The 2027 RZ features a BEV system with a battery capacity of 74.69 kWh for the RZ 350e FWD and RZ 450e AWD and 76.96 kWh for the RZ 550e F SPORT AWD. The system is designed to deliver smooth, capable, and responsive performance. Its eAxle supports strong motor output, with a high torque configuration that drives the front wheels on the RZ 350e FWD and both the front and rear wheels on the RZ 450e AWD and RZ 550e F SPORT AWD models.

The RZ also utilizes a high-capacity lithium-ion battery engineered to support the performance characteristics of the Lexus battery-electric driving experience. An advanced water-cooling system for both the BEV system and battery helps support consistent power delivery and overall system performance.

Driving Range and Fast Charging
The 2027 RZ has a North American Charging System (NACS) charging port (SAE J3400) on the passenger’s side of the vehicle, enabling access to thousands of high-speed charging stations nationwide. It also has Level One and Level Two AC charging with a 11-kWh capacity on-board AC charger. Under ideal conditions, when using DC fast charging, it is capable of charging from 10% to 80% battery capacity in around 30 minutes.

The vehicle has a manufacturer-estimated range rating of 301 miles for the RZ 350e FWD (with 18-inch wheels) and 260 miles for the RZ 450e AWD (with 18-inch wheels). The RZ 550e F SPORT AWD has a manufacturer-estimated driving range of approximately 229 miles (with 20-inch wheels).

Lexus Driving Signature
Lexus Driving Signature (LDS) is a guiding philosophy behind the development of Lexus vehicles, providing a unified driving experience across the lineup. LDS emphasizes a linear connection between the driver and vehicle and promotes a smooth and comfortable ride. The RZ also delivers exceptional quietness, supported by measures that help suppress noise and vibration at the source.

Structural rigidity around the radiator support, along with a rear brace, helps reduce body deformation in multiple directions and contributes to clean, linear steering response. Its suspension system also supports both ride comfort and vehicle dynamics. In the front, a MacPherson strut suspension helps deliver a flatter, more stable ride, while the rear suspension is designed to balance handling stability and ride comfort across a range of driving conditions.

DIRECT 4
On the RZ 450e and RZ 550e F SPORT, the DIRECT 4 drive force uses a front-to-rear drive force ratio between 60:40 and 0:100 during starting and straight-line acceleration to minimize vehicle pitch and provide a more direct acceleration response. During cornering, the drive force is distributed between 80:20 and 0:100 based on driving conditions, utilizing data such as vehicle speed and steering angle.

During turn-in, more power is directed to the front wheels to help achieve smooth and precise cornering. At corner exit, torque is allocated to each wheel’s contact load, allowing for even acceleration and vehicle stability. The result is a smooth, responsive cornering experience and precise line tracing.

When the driver selects Range mode to help maximize efficiency, the front-to-rear balance is maintained at 50:50.

A Choice for Everyone
The RZ offers three distinct powertrains for guests to choose from: 350e FWD, 450e AWD and 550e F SPORT AWD.

350e FWD
The RZ 350e FWD offers a balanced expression of all-electric luxury, centered on smooth performance and everyday utility. With 221 total system horsepower sent to the front wheels, the RZ 350e FWD is well suited for drivers seeking a great driving experience, paired with the quietness and comfort expected from a Lexus.

450e AWD
The RZ 450e AWD adds more power and the confidence of DIRECT 4 all-wheel drive. With 308 total system horsepower, it blends smooth, responsive acceleration with steady control in a variety of driving conditions.

550e F SPORT AWD
The RZ 550e F SPORT AWD stands at the top of the lineup as the most powerful RZ model. It pairs 402 total system horsepower with DIRECT 4 all-wheel drive and runs from 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds, making it the quickest RZ yet. It’s built for drivers who want a more exhilarating ride.

The RZ 550e F SPORT AWD also features M Mode, an electronic system that uses paddle shifters to provide a virtual manual shifting experience. Featuring a virtual eight-speed gear setup, the system allows drivers to modulate power delivery in a way that creates a more engaging and responsive feel behind the wheel. Simulated engine and exhaust sounds, along with a shift guide meter in the instrument display, further enhance the experience by helping drivers intuitively follow gear changes in real time.

NuLuxe^®-trimmed seats come standard, while the Luxury and F SPORT grades have Ultrasuede^®-trimmed seats and laser-etched Ultrasuede door trim inserts. Every RZ also includes heated and ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Drivers get an eight-way power-adjustable seat with two-way power lumbar, and the front passenger gets an eight-way power-adjustable seat. A power tilt-and-telescopic steering column and the Lexus Memory System for the driver’s seat, steering wheel and outer mirrors help every driver find comfort.

Tsuyasumi interior trim and single-color ambient illumination set a calm, modern tone in the cabin. The RZ comes standard with the Lexus Interface multimedia system on a 14.0-inch touchscreen display, providing easy-to-use controls and clear information for the driver and front-seat passenger. Available Advanced Park is an intuitive driver’s aid system that is designed to help in various maneuvers, such as when perpendicular parking/exiting and parallel parking/exiting. Four Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors provide visual data to support the automatic control of steering, accelerator, brake, and shift operations. Automatic High Beams
Automatic High Beams are designed to automatically toggle between high and low beams based on the vehicle’ surroundings.

Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection
Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection is designed to help detect a vehicle, pedestrian, bicyclist or motorcyclist and provide an audio/visual forward collision warning under certain circumstances. If system conditions are met, the system is designed to provide automatic emergency braking. PCS uses a camera and millimeter-wave radar for enhanced performance and reliability. Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC)
An adaptive cruise control system that is designed for for highway use. It uses radar and camera technology to help keep the vehicle at a preset speed and distance from vehicles ahead, even in stop-and-go traffic. If the system detects the vehicle getting closer than the preset distance, it automatically slows the vehicle — even to a complete stop. At highway speeds, when the road ahead clears, the vehicle returns to its preset speed. The Curve Speed Management feature is included and designed to help manage speed in curves when cruise control is engaged and may lower vehicle speed if needed.

Lane Tracing Assist (LTA)
When Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) is enabled and lane markers are detected, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) is designed to use the lines on the road and/or preceding vehicles to provide active driving assistance and help keep the vehicle centered in its lane.

Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA)
When white/yellow lane markings or certain road edge boundary lines are detected at speeds above 30 mph, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) is designed to issue an audio/visual lane departure warning if an inadvertent lane departure is detected. If the driver does not take corrective action, the system is also designed to provide gentle corrective steering for lane keeping assistance.

Road Sign Assist (RSA)
Using an intelligent camera, Road Sign Assist (RSA) is designed to detect speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs, yield signs and certain warning signs, and display an icon of the sign on the Multi-Information Display (MID).

Proactive Driving Assist (PDA)
When system operating conditions are met, using the vehicle’s camera and radar, Proactive Driving Assist (PDA) is designed to provide gentle braking into curves or gentle braking and/or steering to help support driving tasks such as distance control between the vehicle and a preceding vehicle, pedestrian or bicyclist.
