Sleek cars and action films often go hand in hand on Hollywood’s big screen. Futuristic gadgets only add to the luster of these cinematic dream machines. In the latest installment of the “Men in Black” series, “Men in Black: International,” Lexus and Sony Pictures’ MIB production team joined forces to create a vehicle that showcases Lexus’ commitment to the cutting edge.

The 2020 Lexus RC F, which transforms into an extraterrestrial-fighting aircraft, is the vehicle of choice for MIB agents M and H. In addition to its alien-fighting accessories, the performance luxury coupe/aircraft is equipped with Umbra Black paint finish and Quasar Power Source Technology, enabling the high-tech machine to propel agents across the universe at light speeds in style.

But the 2020 RC F isn’t the first Lexus to be featured on the big screen. Here are some of Lexus’ most recent and recognizable cameos.

Men in Black: International (2019)
2020 RC F Sports Coupe / Lexus QZ 618

In Men in Black: International, the 2020 RC F sports coupe transforms into the Lexus QZ 618 Galactic Enforcer jet used by Agents M and H to protect Earth from malicious alien foes. The movie showcases a futuristic vision of the RC F sports coupe, which was revised for 2020 to make it the most powerful, fastest RC yet.

Black Panther (2018)
2018 LC 500

King T’Challa’s quick reflexes are matched by the agile handling of the 2018 LC 500, which shines in a fast-paced chase sequence set in the streets of Busan, South Korea. During the pivotal chase scene, Black Panther perches on the roof of the sleek machine, steering it by hooking his claws into the ground. This one-of-a-kind LC 500 boasts a unique marble paint finish and a black panther graphic on its hood, further underscoring the iconic style of the superpowered coupe.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)
Skyjet (Fictional)

Flying 700 years into the future, the hypothetical Lexus SkyJet, highlights contemporary Lexus style in a visionary setting. Working in tandem with the Lexus design team, the Valerian production crew incorporated realistic spindle grille and headlight features into the pursuit aircraft belonging to eponymous protagonist Valerian (Dane DeHaan). The exclusive, military-grade fantasy vehicle is equipped with futuristic weapons and shields grounded in modern-day air force design. Extraterrestrial attacks and advances don’t stand a chance.

Minority Report (2002)
Lexus 2054 (Fictional)

The Lexus 2054 played a starring role in the 2002 speculative action film directed by Oscar-winning director (and real-life Lexus owner) Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise The concept car, driven in the film by protagonist Cruise’s Chief John Anderton, was created in a collaboration between the Minority Report crew and Lexus design team. The futuristic machine is lifted and propelled across magnetic fields supported by a computer-controlled transportation system known as Mag-Lev. Powered by fuel cells and equipped with a crash proof structure and biometric security system, the Lexus 2054 is safe for a futuristic environment and passengers.
