BRASELTON, Ga. (Oct. 5, 2026) – The Vasser Sullivan No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 earned a 10th-place result in the GTD category in Saturday’s Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta with drivers Jack Hawksworth, Ben Barnicoat and Kyle Kirkwood. In the GTD class, Aaron Telitz, Benjamin Pedersen and Frankie Montecalvo finish 11th in the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 in the 10-hour IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season finale.

Hawksworth, Barnicoat and Kirkwood took turns behind the wheel of the Lexus during the 10-hour endurance race with the No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 leading 126 laps around the 12-turn, 2.54-mile Georgia road course.  Hawksworth started the race 12th and put the No. 14 in the top 10 when Kirkwood got behind the wheel and continued to fight for position during his stints. Barnicoat made his way to the front of the field during his opening stint, and the No. 14 team went on to take control of the majority of the race before needing to pit for fuel in the closing laps while running in the top five, going on to finish 10th.

In GTD competition, Telitz started third in the Vasser Sullivan No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 and ran in the top five during his stint before Frankie Montecalvo took over driving duties. During his stint, an LMP2 competitor made contact with the No. 12 and forced Montecalvo to the pit for extensive repairs to the Lexus. They returned to the race in 16th place and 12 laps down, however the driver trio of Telitz, Montecalvo and Pedersen were able to make up four positions during the remainder of the race to finish 11th in the GTD class.

Lexus and Vasser Sullivan finished the 2026 season with three wins, four podiums and three pole positions this year.

Vasser Sullivan Driver Quotes
JACK HAWKSWORTH, No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3
Can you talk about your race today?
“We gave it absolutely everything out there all day. We had cool shirt issues, so all three drivers were all very hot inside the car. We went from the back to the front a lot of times. We rolled the dice on strategy quite a bit and a lot of it worked out. We had really good pace in clean air, but struggled when we were in traffic. We gave it everything but came up a bit short with fuel at the end. A massive thanks to the team for everything this year. A mega job from Ben (Barnicoat) and Kyle (Kirkwood) as always and on to some exciting things next year.”

BEN BARNICOAT, No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3
How was your Petit Le Mans?
“That was one heck of a day. We were first, we were last, and we were first again. The cool suits failed two hours into the race, and we all had to dig as deep as we could, and we were there until almost the very end. We had to roll the dice a few times and were right on the edge of putting everything on number 14 at the casino. We were so close, but we lost it at the end. That’s racing. We literally gave it everything we had today. I’m very proud of everyone. I’m sorry that I couldn’t quite hang on there at the end. We all tried our best and it didn’t work out. Hell of a day, hell of a race and I’m really proud to be part of this team.”

KYLE KIRKWOOD, No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3
Can you talk about your experience on track in the Petit Le Mans today?
“Final race of the season is done and dusted. We put ourselves in many positions to win the race and unfortunately none of those ended up panning out for us. Having to stop on the final lap was the nail in the coffin for us, but we put up a really good fight. We didn’t have the pace all weekend to really contend for a win, but we played the right strategies and did everything in our power to get ourselves into the lead, which we did. Just didn’t work out today.”

AARON TELITZ, No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3
How was your race?
“What a tough day and tough way to end the 2026 season. Our Lexus RC F GT3 was so fast here today at Road Atlanta. I think we easily had a shot of being up on the podium, and if things fell our way, a win. But some contact early in the going put us out and had to do some repairs. Our Vasser Sullivan crew never quit. We clawed back five laps over the course of the next seven hours and brought our RC F home 11th. What a great 10 years it’s been for that car with Vasser Sullivan.”

BENJAMIN PEDERSEN, No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3
Can you talk about today’s race?
“It was a pretty tough day on the 12 side. Honestly, we had a lot of pace. The start was looking really good running in the top three and unfortunately, we had some contact that resulted in a pretty lengthy repair on pit lane when Frankie (Montecalvo) was in the car, so we went down 12 laps. We kept our head in it. We still had a lot of pace even with that happening. We came back five or six laps to at least have something to fight for, but in the end, just that really hurt our race. Pretty disappointing as the car was fast and we were at the front until that happened. Not the greatest of days and ultimately looking forward to next year.”

FRANKIE MONTECALVO, No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3
How was your race?
“The team did a phenomenal job today. It’s sad to not have a result. The car was great and our team did a great job in the pits and on track. Sadly, had some contact there during my stint and broke a toe link and we ended up going those laps down. It’s a sad way to end the year, but we’ll build on that and roll into next year stronger.”
